NDC UK-Ireland Women’s Wing Reaffirms Allegiance Party On 30th Anniversary

The women’s wing of the UK-Ireland branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has renewed its allegiance to the mother party in Ghana as part of the commemoration of the party’s 30th anniversary.

In a statement signed by the branch’s Women’s Organizer, Mary Gardiner, the Women’s wing also said it was poised to contribute towards winning the next election in 2024.

“The women’s wing of NDC UK-IRELAND once again wishes to reiterate its unadulterated support to its mother body in its quest to recapture power. We are ready and willing to mobilise all resources at our disposal in support of a cause to reposition our country on the path of prosperity,” the group said.

The NDC is marking its 30th anniversary with a series of activities over a three-day period which began on June 4th and ended with a symposium on June 10th.

The three-day celebration will be under the theme “NDC@ 30: Development our Goal”.

Expressing happiness over the milestone, the UK-Ireland Chapter Women’s wing said the NDC is a revolutionary party that has given Ghana a stable democracy.

“The NDC was birthed out of the events of June 4th, 1979, and the 31st of December revolution. These events ultimately set the tone for the birth of Ghana’s fledgling democracy. A democracy that has given the country a fine reputation as the beacon of hope for Africa,” she said.
