National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communicator, Dela Coffie, has responded offensively to an arrest warrant issued against him by the Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng.

In a 3rd June statement, Mr. Coffie faults the SP for issuing the arrest warrant without first contacting him before serving notice that he will let his lawyers take up the matter in court.

“My attention has been drawn to a warrant of arrest issued by Special Prosecutor against my person. Preliminarily, I want to state that I am available right here in Ghana and will submit myself to any queries of law enforcement agencies as I have nothing to hide,” the embattled Dela Cofie stated.

“Dela Coffie is a law-abiding citizen and ready to fight any concocted allegations geared towards tarnishing my image in the estimation of right-thinking members of society,” he wrote.

Earlier on Friday, June 3, 2022, the Special Prosecutor declared that Dela Edem Coffie was wanted.

A notice issued and signed by Kissi Agyebeng said the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has already caused the issuance of a warrant of arrest for the suspect.
