Former President John Dramani Mahama has described the late Transport Minister as the Yaa Asantwaa of this generation
Madam Dzifa Attivor, who served as Transport Minister, under President Mahama, passed late last year , at the University of Ghana Medical Centre.
He described Mrs Attivor as a committed member of his government, who worked so hard, as Transport Minister
“As a government, the record of the Transport Ministry remains one of our best, and it was under Dzifa Attivor “
According to President Mahama, without an effective sector Minister, his vision will only remain unfulfilled
He described the former Minister as a workaholic, who did all the foot work for the achievements at the sector
He mentioned Terminal 3, the massive transformation at the Takoradi and Tema Ports, the Ho Airport, Tamale Airport and several projects were her hardwork
On his part, the NDC National Chairman paid glowing tributes to the memory of the late Minister
He recounted his first contact with Mrs Attivor, several years ago.
A party stalwart, Comrade Kofi Attoh, traced the history of Voltarians in other parts of the country, and lauded the role of Mrs Attivor in reorganising Voltarians across the country
The spokesperson of the Abutia Traditional Council, Togbi Adza Kodzo VI, invited the former President to join the family send the late daughter of the area home
