A group of impostors who posed as soldiers in an anti-illegal mining task force have named Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources George Mireku Duker as their sponsor after they were arrested by real soldiers and lashed.
Under the whip, one of the impostors who is a lady started singing like the canary bird, revealing the chief patron behind their activities is the deputy Minister.
According to reports, the lady explained that they work for the Deputy Minister of Land and Natural Resources, Hon George Mireku Duker and their duty was to stop Galamsey or illegal mining in the country, however, reports from mining areas indicate that this syndicate simply go round to extort money and gold from miners and not really concerned with stopping illegal mining.
They had been on their way to the Western North Region to allegedly help stop Galamsey operations when they were arrested by the soldiers.
According to the lady, the deputy Minister of Land and Natural Resources sent them to meet the Western North Regional Minister and through him they were sent to Enchie a town in the Western North Region to undertake their duties.
However, the soldiers who arrested them said they were fake.
Musician, Kwame A-Plus has since posted video footage of some aspects of the arrest and in some aspects, the real soldier are seen giving the fake soldiers dirty slaps amidst angry accusations that such impostors are the reason the military is now suffering disgrace.
According to A-Plus, the soldiers made the fake ones kneel down and gave them 24 lashes each and it was amidst the lashes that the lady who was asked to identify herself and her group spilled the beans on the deputy Lands Minister.
