The Controller and Accountant General’s Department has announced alternative dates on which the monthly salaries of public and civil servants will be paid in 2022.
In a statement signed by Acting Controller and Accountant General, Kwasi Kwaning-Bosompem, a schedule of paydays for all the twelve months in the year was listed to guide banks, Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.
“Notice is hereby given that the year 2022 salaries and wages of civil servants, the Ghana Education Service (GES) and all other public servants paid by the Controller and Accountant General’s Departments will be paid on the dates indicated – January, 21st; February, 25th, March, 26th; April, 26th; May, 26th; (and) June, 24th.”
The statement added that July’s salary will be paid on the 26th of that month; August, 26th; September, 27th; October, 25th, November, 25th and December, 19th.”
“The various banks will start crediting the accounts of employees from the dates indicated above. Any change in the above dates will be communicated to the Ministries, Departments, Agencies, Assemblies and respective banks,” the statement said.
