Bono NPP Serial Callers Strike Over GHS300 Monthly Stipend

Propaganda mules of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bono Region have declared a strike in protest of the leanness of their monthly stipend.

The stipend is said to be either Ghc300 or Ghc200 a month depending on whether the party’s Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe, alias Abronye DC, likes you or not.

Sunyani East Constituency Communications officer, Maxwell Mahama, who confirmed the strike to Kwame Appiah Kubi, host of ‘Ghana Yensom’ on Accra FM, on Monday also lamented that the development is due to the corruption and nepotism of Abronye.

“The Regional Chairman has, over the years, been selective in the disbursement of the stipend to the beneficiaries. Trust me, if you’re not in his good books, what you deserve for working for the party at that level will not be paid,” Mr. Mahama said.

According to the revelations, the communicators, aka “serial texters” are even worse off than those who place serial phone calls. They are paid nothing.

According to Mr. Mahama, when the Akufo-Addo government releases the hard-earned taxpayer money to the regional chairman for distribution to the party’s serial callers, Abronye sits on the money and mostly shares it with his cronies.

Meanwhile, cash payments to party serial callers are never seen in the budget.

The revelations that serial callers are paid for propagating lies and half-truths for the ruling party means taxpayer money is being stolen by the government and spent on serial callers.
