Three suspected armed robbers were shot dead at Shiashie in Accra on Monday after a gun battle with the Police.
The incident which happened in late the afternoon briefly halted traffic.
After they were shot dead, Police officers were seen loading their dead bodies into the trunk of a pick-up vehicle amidst the blaring of sirens, before the corpses were driven away.
It is not clear if the three robbers constituted the whole gang or were just a part of a gang of more bandits.
As at the time of going to press, their identities were also not known.
Meanwhile, amateur video footage of the incident have since been circulating on social media.
