Contrary to popularly held views, the infamous “family and friends” of President Akufo Addo are at war with deep cracks emerging over how a cross-section has captured all state resources to themselves and neglected others.
The spark was ignited over the weekend when Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, President Akufo Addo’s notorious cousin who reportedly controls and manipulates the ageing president, made a post on Facebook, claiming life was stressful.
“Stressful life. Only the one who lives it feels it and knows it. Not all that glitters…tiring. Too stressful…,” Mr. Otchere-Darko wrote.
This triggered Angel Boakye Dankwa Ofori-Atta, a close nephew to President Akufo Addo, who went on full blast on Gabby, accusing Gabby of using dirty deals to capture state resources, alongside Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta.
“What sort of wickedness it this, pleasing outsiders and making your own family suffer. Then people call it “family and friends”. Only about four family members are enjoying,” Angel Ofori-Atta fired.
According to the peeved nephew of the President, Gabby and the likes at the Jubilee House have blocked several genuine contracts of other family members of the President and that they have virtually monopolised all the windfalls from the government.
“What sort of greediness is this?” He exclaimed, adding: “We know all the 419 you [Gabby and Co.] are involved in in the country. We know everything.”
Apparently, the controversial family members of President Akufo Addo at the Jubilee house may be involved in an undisclosed illicit trade using private jets and also the Presidential jet
“We know the trips the private jets have been making with the goods aboard…our people give us all these information,” he said.
He went on to hint at Gabby and Ken Ofori-Atta being the ones he was referring to as the greedy family members he was referring to.
He went ahead to do a Facebook live recording revealing explosive details about the characters of the two men believed to have pulled the wool over the eyes of President Akufo Addo and have gotten involved in deals that have roped the state of vital resources.
Angel Ofori-Atta also charged that Gabby had criminal records currently in the files of the United States’ Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI).
According to the peeved Angel Ofori-Atta, who revealed that he was a key personality involved in the setting up of the Eye Group and the Delta/Invisible Forces, all militia groups operating under the auspices of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In an expletives-filled video, Angel Ofori-Atta revealed that he had been forced to leave flee Ghana because he fears his life is on the line, and that his cousins close to the Jubilee House may have a hit on him.
“They will try to intimidate me, they will try to kill me but I am out of the country at the moment…We are here for good and we are going to make it happen for the future generation. I am going to do what is right for Ghana and what is right for the party. If they want to kill me, they should go ahead…, “lamented Angel, who slammed President Akufo for doing nothing for Okyeman-his hometown.
Meanwhile, the Facebook post on Gabby’s Facebook timeline and the explosive video by Angel Ofori-Atta had been taken down as at Sunday, August 8, 2021.
