Suspected Armed Robber Outs Alleged Police Kingpin After Bloody Mob Justice

A suspected armed robber who gave his name as Hamidu Mumin after he had been run over by a car on the highway at Ejura, Ashanti Region, has named a Police Criminal Investigations Department (CID) officer as his ring leader.

While lying bloodied on the ground and slipping into unconsciousness, Hamidu Mumin told a mob of angry people holding all sorts of offensive weapons that he and two other accomplices with two guns and that they were acquaintances with a CID man called Master King.

Master King is stationed at the Ejura Police Station, Mumin told the mob one of whom lorded over him with a machete while interrogating him.

Exchanges between Mumin and his interrogator which were captured in an amateur video recording has since been going around social media.

In the conversation, he names his gun-toting accomplices as Jaye and Abubakari Sidi. All three of them are Fulanis and stay at Ejura where Master King is a CID officer.

According to a narrator familiar with the issue, Mumin and his two accomplices had ambushed a vehicle on the Ejura highway with the intent to rob travelers on board. However, the driver had acted courageously and sped off, knocking down Mumin as a result.

Following that, Mumin’s two accomplices had bolted while he laid on the street incapacitated from the impact of the hit from the car. Later, angry townsfolk had surrounded him with all sorts of offensive weapons to finish him off.

And the mob would probably have lynched him if he had not mentioned the name of the CID officer called Master King that he said he and his accomplices was overfamiliar with.
