The Head of the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) Prof. Samuel Kobina Anin collapsed on Monday while giving a speech on the ongoing Population and Housing Census, and is reported to have suffered a stroke.
The sudden attack forced the address to an abrupt stop as he had to be rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment.
He was addressing the public on the completion of the Population and Housing Census which commenced on 13th June 2021.
The census had been characterized by a number of issues including complaints from persons with disabilities that they had not been properly captured by enumerators.
