30% Of Galamsey Dialogue Are Galamseyers-Otumfuo Reveals, Against Jinapor’s Gag Order

In a rather shocking revelation that has raised suspicion about the Akufo Addo administration’s new fight against illegal mining (Galamsey), the powerful overlord of the Ashanti Kingdom, Otumfuor Osei Tutu ll, had revealed that the Lands Minister, Samuel Abu Jinapor had attempted to gag him from revealing secrets of the powerful people conniving to undertake galamsey in the country.

Abu Jinapor, who is barely out of his youthful age, had instructed the Otumfuo to stick to a prepared speech and not rock the boat.

But the Otumfuo went ahead anyway to state that 30% of all those who were seated with him during the so-called National Dialogue on illegal mining to discuss strategies to stop the menace that has destroyed forest reserves, cocoa farms and river bodies, were all involved in galamsey.

The Otumfuo refused to reveal specific names, but the roundtable discussion included traditional chiefs and ministers and officials of the Akufo Addo administration.

In the aftermath of the revelation by the revered King, it has become an open question as to who, among the attendees of the function were the pretending galamseyers.

Otumfuor had made it clear to the pretenders that their destruction of Ghana’s flora and fauna in their greedy quest for gold is a sin, warning that very soon, he will abandon political correctness and name and shame if they do not stop.

The Ashanti King in Manhyia warned his subsidiary chiefs that he will not spare any Chief of his who is caught involved in galamsey.

Meanwhile, a social media storm is rising around Samuel Abu Jinapor.

Critics are beginning to demand that Jinapor and the Ashanti Regional Minister, with whom he had approached Otumfuor and asked him to stick to the script be fired.

Abu Jinapor’s shady behavior has left tongues wagging that he himself is probably benefiting from galamsey in some way and was therefore trying to get Otumfuor Osei Tutu to play nice and gloss over the evil that must be spoken about.
