Two Put Before Court For Allegedly Trafficking 14 Children

Two persons have been put before the court in Hohoe for allegedly trafficking some fourteen children.

Maxwell Ntenye 28, a driver and Kwesi Ndebeyo, 25 were arraigned before the Hohoe District Court by the Police over the allegation.

The Ghana News Agency reports that the children are between the ages of 13 and 22 years, and were believed to have come from Damanko and Kpassa in the Oti Region.

The newswire service reports the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Volta Regional Police Command, Sergeant Prince Dogbatse, as saying that Police and the Social Welfare officers have returned the children to reunite with their families.
