It appears that a damage control project has begun around the failing marriage of embattled Director of Communications at the Jubilee House, Eugene Arhin, whose divorce, has whipped up wealth-grabbing allegations from his embattled wife.
Stories have emerged that the eight mansions that Arhin’s estranged wife, Gloria Arhin, detailed in divorce documents as having been amassed by her husband in the four years that he has been a spokesman for President Akufo-Addo, do not belong to him.
According to the claims, the mansions belong to strange people who are now stepping out of the shadows to assert ownership.
The public has however been taking the claims with a pinch of salt as many point out, Mrs. Gloria Assan Arhin could not have conjured up the claims when she asserted that she was responsible for coordinating the construction or purchase of most of them.
She has even asked the court to award her ownership of a couple of the mansions.
Meanwhile, not too much is being heard about the five luxurious cars that Mrs. Arhin also listed as part of the estate of Akufo-Addo’s spokesman who according to the divorce petition was staying in a down-market rented apartment before he was appointed the President’s spokesman just four years ago.
Then enters Amanda Clinton – the US-based lawyer who has become a vanity star of sorts in Ghana owing to her lawyerly services in controversial cases involving embattled women.
Ms. Clinton has made her latest incursion into the public domain as a lawyer for Shantel Kudjawu, the slay queen that Mrs. Gloria Arhin alleges her husband has been bonking.
Ms. Kudjawu’s amorous connection to National Security Minister, Albert Kan Dapaah, made the revelation that Eugene Arhin has also been bedding her.
Through her celebrity Lawyer, however, Ms. Kudjawu has warned Mrs. Gloria Assan Arhin to take her name out of the divorce petition or she will sue her. According to her, she has never slept with Eugene Arhin before and therefore will not accept being named as a sex partner.
Ms. Clinton was the lawyer for Kukuwa Andam, the US-based Ghanaian lady who churned up the headlines in Ghana in January 2019 with the wild allegation that she had been raped in a hotel room in the US by the President of the Ghana Bar Association, Anthony Forson in 2012.
According to Ms. Andam had made the revelation during a flurry of rape allegations that emerged from the airing of a BBC investigative piece on sexual harassment in African Universities, she had filed a criminal complaint against Mr. Forson with the Washington DC Police.
In that pursuit, Amanda Clinton had been flaunted as her lawyer. However, the case apparently ended up nowhere, with Ms. Andam said to be a lesbian.
