Police Turn Ken Ofori-Atta’s Homefront Into Security Zone

There is a strange security deployment at the Cantonments Homefront of Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, raising eyebrows and stirring the anger of neighbours and road users who commute on the stretch in front of the house.

Between yesterday January 26, 2020, and today, the Police has raised six road barriers in front of the house in security detailing that far exceeds that of President Akufo-Addo at his Nima residence.

The development has led to questions about why all of sudden, security has been beefed up around Ken Ofori-Atta’s home.
Conspiracy theories have begun flying around that the deployment is purposed to provide an extra layer of security around the Finance Minister because President Akufo-Addo wants to protect him from potential threats from within the governing NPP in the unfolding power struggle within the party, as a jostle for Akufo Addo’s successor intensifies.

The road barriers at Mr. Ofori-Atta’s home are mounted in an interwoven fashion so that a car transiting the frontage of the house will have to slow down and zigzag slowly.
