Hohoe Court Throws Out Ex Parte Injunction Application Against Buem MP-Elect, Kofi Adams

An ex parte application by some thirteen people from the Buem Constituency seeking to injunct the National Democratic Congress (NDC) MP-elect for Buem, Kofi Iddie Adams, was thrown out by the Hohoe High Court today.

According to reports, the court refused the application on grounds that it lacked merit.

Represented by New Patriotic Party (NPP) Lawyer Frank Davies, the thirteen had claimed that they had been disenfranchised by the Electoral Commission during the 2020 elections.

The applicants involved were Stephen Brempong of Akpafu, Todzi, Wing Commander Emmanuel Kusi Apietu (Rtd) of Santrokofi Benua, among several others.

They had cited Kofi Adams as First Respondent and the Electoral Commission as Second Respondent.
