Holy Trinity Throws Flamboyant Party Amidst Layoffs and Covid-19

Insiders from Holy Trinity Health and Spa, Ghana’s most popular health resort have reported that the facility threw a massive party and after-party clubbing of over 100 people on Friday, May 22, 2020, despite the national ban on mass gathering and events.

According to the inside sources, Dr. Felix Anyah, the owner of Holy Trinity reportedly threw the party for his skeletal staff after a sizeable number have been laid off unceremoniously.

The party which blatantly flouted President Akufo Addo’s decree against mass events reportedly saw the Holy Trinity importing a bevvy of some 40 girls from Accra, believed to be strippers. The revellers were packed into the picturesque “Tent of Judah” night club owned by Holy Trinity, Whatsup News gathered.

While this flamboyant, display of cash was ongoing, Holy Trinity’s fortunes have been drastically dwindling with majority of its workers given the boot. Whatsup News has intercepted a May 18, 2020 memo where about 20 staff were sacked in what it described as a “separation”.

“Management wishes to inform all staff that there has been a separation between Holy Trinity Medical Centre/Spa & Health Farm and staff listed below. Management wishes them all the best in their future endeavour.” The Memo then went ahead to list 20 names affected by the layoff.

Whatsup News gathered that the prominent tourism facility has been driven to its knees as a sizeable number of its staff have been kicked out.

The prestigious facility in Sogakope- Volta Region, which hitherto employed some 180 staff has become a shell of itself.

Apparently, Holy Trinity is facing some financial difficulties which may not necessarily be solely due to the impact of the Covid-19 in Ghana as reports has it that the health farm has been unable to pay its staff for several months now.

This predicament contrasts sharply with the extravagant spending by the CEO recently.

Insiders say the facility owned by Dr Felix Anyah, a former CEO of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital is being run by a management that appears to have a hold on the CEO.

Data shows that hotels and hospitality facilities have seen over 85% drop in patronage as the world has been locked down by the pandemic, with virtually no travel as people observe social distancing. This spells doom for facilities like Holy Trinity.
