Ghana’s Covid-19 Deaths Climbs To 17, over 2,000 infections

The country’s death toll from the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic has increased by one more, bringing the total tally to 17 fatalities.

The Ghana Health Service (GHS)’ website listed the death as part of an update that said the case count has also increased by 403 more new infections.

Consequently, the total number of infections is now 2,074 according to the website.

In the breakdown, Greater Accra still leads with the highest number of infections – 1,795. Ashanti has 99, Eastern 70, Central 21, Oti, 19 and Upper East 19.

Volta region has 16 cases, Northern 13, Upper West, 10, Western 9, North East 2, and Western North 1.

A total of 212 infected people have recovered.
