The host of Good Evening Ghana, Paul Adom Otchere has been fingered in a string of reported lies, back-stabbing his colleagues and being a political bootlicker.
This is coming after his scathing attacks on the Member of Parliament for Klottey Korle Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings who alleged that the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) was using the Covid-19 food distribution as a political campaign.
In what has been described as biased and unethical, the GEG host unloaded on Ms Rawlings calling her “unparliamentarily” for raising the allegation, saying it could lead to the impeachment of President Akufo Addo.
The attacks from Mr Adom Otchere who is also an appointee of President Akufo Addo to the National Communications Authority (NCA) had led the Minority National Democratic Congree (NDC) to report his posture and conduct to the National Media Commission (NMC).
However, the GEG host’s plight has only worsened since April 16, 2020, when he launched the offensive against Ms. Zanetor. Some of his acquaintances have gone on social media with sizzling revelations about Mr. Adom Otchere’s “Shady” character.
For instance, he reportedly lied against ace investigative journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni fleecing Zoomlion of a US$100,000 bribe. He has also been called out for lying against his colleague and schoolmate Robert Nii Addy Clegg who he claimed cheated in a school test in the university for him.
That incident backfired on Paul Adom Otchere who was forced to eat humble pie by publicly apologising to Mr. Addy Clegg for peddling lies against him.
Mr. Adom Otchere has also been fingered for influence-peddling in his position as a board member of the NCA. One Francis Kennedy Ocloo, who appears to be an acquaintance, revealed how Mr. Adom Otchere blackmailed telecom giant MTN when they requested for a 4G telecom spectrum from the NCA.
Paul has also been accused of being deficient in writing optimal grammar the way he speaks for instance, when he was accused of blackmailing MTN in their 4G quest and that he relaxed his stance only after MTN had gifted him a phone, Paul Adom Otchere responded in what Whatsup News quotes verbatim.
“Please, this is not true. What is the point of it. I bought both of my phones from Apple. MTN have give me at least 3 phones in the past. I can’t remember when. I always complain that the phones they give me is not commensurate with the money I spend on credit and data. I end up giving these phones to our young staff. So what’s the point about this matter. I want to understand please,” Mr. Adom Otchere wrote in horrible grammar that has sparked a social media debate as to whether that was really him writing.
Critics have said it was really his style of writing and that was his bane for not being able to be called to the bar as a lawyer. “Paul Adom-Otchere, is this really your writing? The English is pathetic,” one commentator noted on Facebook.
Meanwhile, Mr. Adom-Otchere has promised that he will respond to some of the allegations against him on Tuesday, April 21, 2020, including the allegation from Manasseh Awuni.
