41 Suspected Corona Virus Cases In Ghana All Tested Negative

The Ghana Health Service has announced that all suspected cases of corona virus infections in the country were not positive after testings.

A total of 41 cases reported were all tested, according to the GHS and all of them proved to be negative.

The announcement, was made by the Director General of the GHS today in Kumasi at the GHS’ Annual Performance Review Meeting in the Ashanti regional capital.

“The country has not recorde any case of the virus amd I repeat the country has not recorded any case of the virus. The 41suspected cases that we tested as at 4th March are all negative  including the one that was reported in Kumasi that there has been a lot of furore about it,” announced the Director General of the GHS, Dr. Patrick Awuah through a speech read on his behalf.

According to him, the cases include that of the man who recently died in Kumasi after returning from Germany with symptoms of very high temp[eratures.

The death of the man had sent panic through the garden city which rippled through the rest of the country.

According to the GHS Director General, samples were taken from the people suspected to be carrying the virus in all the 41 cases and tested under laboratory conditions. All of them turned out negative for corona virus.

The GHS has also announced that it has tightened measures in preparation for any possible outbreak in Ghana, including training frontline health officials for emergency response.
