NPP Govt Has Delivered 72% Of Promises, Data On Its Way Soon

Vice President Muhamadu Bawumia, has backed claims by his boss, President Akufo-Addo, that the government has delivered on 72% of all the campaign promises that it made from 2016.

Speaking to party supporters in Accra on Sunday, Akufo-Addo’s number 2 said he has even compiled a compendium on the achievements and will soon present it to the public.

”We will put the data out because we have done the work,” at the NPP’s National Delegates Conference at the Trade Fair Centre in Accra on Sunday.

Dr. Bawumia’s claim bolsters President Akufo-Addo’s recent refutation of assessment by IMANI Africa that the Government has fulfilled only a little over 48% of its promises.

To the delight of party supporters and members who have stood behind their President in his rejection of the IMANI verdict, Dr. Bawumia said that even the 72% that President Akufo-Addo earlier quoted is only conservative.

“We have either delivered completely or we are delivering on 72% and we are going to put the data out so that everyone will go promise by promise and see whether we are delivering or we have delivered,” he said.

Interestingly, the 72% fulfillment rate is lower than 80% that Communications Minister, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful has quoted for the government in the area.
