Amanda Clinton becomes first female in history to contest GFA Presidential elections

Lawyer Amanda Clinton has become the first female in history to contest the run to takeover the top seat of the Ghana Football Association.

Ms Clinton’s place in Ghanaian football folklore was cemented after the vetting committee cleared her as one of the six qualified candidates for the upcoming elections.

She joins other top guns including Dreams FC Executive chairman Kurt Okraku and George Afriyie who are all vying for the hot seat.

The other aspirants are Fred Pappoe, Nana Yaw Amponsah, and Lawyer George Ankoma Mensah. Bankroller of Tema Youth FC Osei Palmer was the only Presidential aspirant disqualified.

The GFA election is slated to be held on October 25 in Accra.
